Join us tonight at 6:00 p.m. for Unfiltered: Traveling While Black! A discussion on the evolution of travel as a means of self-care and self- discovery for Black folks in this country and beyond.
In the past, Black Americans needed a Green Book to ensure our safety on road trips across the country, but the evolution of Black liberation and access to the internet and social media has changed the landscape. Outlets like Travel Noire have led the way on an inspired new wave of Black folks demanding agency over our lives and claiming luxury as a birth right!
Our fave travel experts, Shantell, Katiana and Candice will be doling out best practices for being Black abroad, discussing BWB Fly Like Us Travel club's first international trip to Antigua, and sharing their best and worst traveling stories with advice on how to break into the industry. Plus Fly Like Us Travel Club will be discussion our next international trip!

Candice Stover, District Sales Manager New England, Delta Air Lines. Beginning her career at Delta 10 years ago, Candice has been in the airline industry for 17 years having also worked for Southwest and AirTran Airways. Candice holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a certificate in Sales and a Master’s degree in Management from the University of West Georgia, where she also studied international business in Beijing and Shanghai.
Katiana Jolimeau, Owner of Trips Travel Agency. Her passion for travel began after her first trip to Haiti as a child. Since then she's studied abroad in Senegal, West Africa and spent a couple of years living in Colombia, South America. She's also ventured off to a Safari in Kenya and had solo jaunts to Japan, France, and Spain. KJ is fluent in English and Haitian Creole with a working knowledge of French and Spanish. Her travel specialties lie in international destinations, sporting events and behind-the-scenes access.
Shantell Smith, Co-Founder, Blue Dynasty Entertainment and Travel. A serial entrepreneur including two distinct travel clubs to coordinate, plan, and host dynamic trips in the U.S. and abroad. Shantell hosts trips for the company’s noir travel clubs among other things deeply rooted in the Black community.
